The OnRobot Sander provides everything needed for immediate use: a plug-and-play sanding tool, a range of standard sanding and polishing discs, easy-to-use software, plus the optional automatic Grit Changer and force/torque sensor. This cost-effective electric sanding tool does not need a noisy, expensive air compressor. Use this flexible tool across a wide range of part geometries and materials for greater consistency, higher surface quality and less waste. Standard 3M clean sanding discs reduce dust in the work environment and the risk of operator injury from the vibration of manual sanders. For simple surface finishing, programming requires only basic robot knowledge — no extra training needed. The sanding software integrates automatically into the robot teach pendant, while a manual “save position” button on the tool itself makes setting waypoints even easier without the pendant. The software offers various path-planning options — hand-guided path, shapes and points — and lets users adjust rotation speed to optimise cycle time and consistency. All advanced OnRobot Sander features are supported on Universal Robots arms, but the tool is easy to integrate with systems from any leading robot manufacturer.
