With a payload of up to 20 kg (44.1 lb), the OnRobot VGP20 is the world’s most powerful electric vacuum gripper. It is ideal for automating carton palletizing quickly and cost-effectively, and for handling heavy, porous and irregularly shaped items. The VGP20 allows unlimited customisation, so it can automate a wide range of applications that traditionally required pneumatic grippers, at a fraction of the cost and complexity. Compared with traditional pneumatic gripper deployments, the VGP20 can save up to 90% in operating and maintenance costs. Like all OnRobot grippers, the VGP20 includes everything needed for fast, simple deployment with any leading robot. Built-in intelligence and easy-to-use software provide precise airflow control and let you adapt the grip to each application and material, including several items of different shapes and sizes at once. The powerful vacuum flow can pick even porous items such as thinner, cheaper or recycled cardboard or lightweight mailer bags, helping shippers save even more and reduce waste. An optional feature provides continuous vacuum monitoring: if the vacuum is interrupted for any reason, the robot stops immediately and a warning pop-up appears in the gripper software.
