DOBOT Magician Lite, a multifunctional, lightweight and intelligent robot arm, is one of the key products in DOBOT’s customised K12 AI education ecosystem. Magician Lite offers many software and hardware interaction methods and expansion interfaces to maximise students’ creative freedom. By building and playing, students learn how AI and mechanics work. They are also introduced to the fundamentals of robotics and how they can be applied in the real world. In addition, DOBOT runs robotics competitions to spark students’ interest in robotics and involve more of them. Students work together in teams to solve complex tasks by designing, building and programming their own robots. This means they can not only rigorously test what they have learned, but also celebrate their unique talents and achievements.
Excellent performance and safe use
Magician Lite is compact and weighs only 2.4 kg, making it portable and easy to set up for application scenarios. It offers 0.2 mm repeat positioning accuracy, a 0.25 kg payload and a 340 mm reach. It supports a soft gripper, suction cup, pen holder and other interchangeable end tools. The robot has collision detection, which makes it safe for children.
Magic Box for unlimited possibilities
Magician Lite comes with an external controller called “Magic Box” that separates the motion control algorithm from user tasks for more convenient programming and creation. The robot supports Bluetooth connectivity. 12 expansion interfaces ensure maximum openness and compatibility.
Graphical programming (software)
With the new DOBOT Scratch software platform, students can program and create games and animations simply by dragging and dropping coding blocks together to control every movement of the robot and learn how AI works, exploring technology while having fun.
Project-based learning for all ages
Magician Lite offers a complete curriculum system divided into three stages, from beginner to advanced student level. The curriculum provides a variety of teaching demonstrations focused on experiential, project-based and inquiry-based learning. By taking part in DOBOT robotics competitions, students not only test their knowledge but also develop their all-round abilities, engineering skills and capacity for innovation.
Magician Lite offers project-based teaching demonstrations that are interactive, hands-on and interest-driven to foster children’s logical thinking, practical skills and creativity.
Built to be open and widely compatible, Magician Lite can run a multitude of miniature immersive application scenarios that not only help children better understand how AI and robots work in real conditions, but also turn them into real-world problem solvers.
A wide range of accessories for more possibilities
DOBOT offers users various kits, including a writing and drawing kit, an Industry 4.0 kit, an AI vision kit, a wireless kit and a sensor kit. Combined with intuitive programming, Magician Lite is full of potential and gives students and educators unlimited opportunities to explore, discover and create.
