Description
DOBOT Atom is a full-size humanoid robot for embodied AI tasks — the world’s first humanoid to combine precise manipulation with straight-legged walking. It has two 7-axis industrial-grade bionic arms with ±0.05 mm repeatability, a synchronised head and dexterous five-fingered hands.
The robot is designed for repetitive tasks where equipment layouts are not fixed and product sizes vary: material feeding on car assembly lines, beverage preparation, pharmacy work and research. The Atom Max version has 41 degrees of freedom (with 6-axis hands), a Full HD binocular camera, RGB-D cameras, 3D LiDAR and a 1500 TOPS AI computing module.

DOBOT Atom is designed for repetitive industrial and commercial tasks such as material handling on automotive assembly lines, preparing drinks in cafés and night-time dispensing in pharmacies. It suits dynamic environments with varied product specifications, similar operations and the need to manoeuvre in compact spaces.
Meet the DOBOT Atom series
DOBOT Atom Max is an advanced humanoid robot with 41 degrees of freedom designed for cutting-edge robotics research and industrial applications. It features dexterous 12-DoF hands, a 60 fps Full HD vision system and an Intel RealSense D455 depth sensing system. Its additional built-in AI kit provides high-precision URDF models, an open-source training framework and multimodal data tools to accelerate development. Atom Max adds VR/MR teleoperation with markerless tracking and dual control modes (full-body/segmented), all powered by a 1500 TOPS AI module for real-time edge computing. With sub-millimetre precision and 360° environmental awareness, it significantly lowers the barrier to AI robotics innovation while supporting complex tasks from precision assembly to dynamic motion research.
Discover versatile, full-size embodied humanoid robots
Dexterous manipulation
It includes a Neuro-Driven Dexterity System (NDS) that provides precise control of 28 upper-body degrees of freedom (DoF) using a transformer-based architecture and binocular RGB vision. With servo-level vibration suppression and 200 Hz high-frequency control, NDS delivers smooth, human-like fine motor skills for tasks such as tool use, assembly and multi-specification handling, inspired by the co-evolution of the human brain and hand.
Straight-knee walking
The Anthropomorphic Walking System (AWS) mimics human biomechanics using imitation and reinforcement learning to create highly human-like movement strategies. AWS reduces energy consumption by 42% compared with traditional bent-knee walking, improving stability and endurance for continuous operation in industrial environments, including navigating narrow spaces and adapting to different workstation heights (700–1000 mm).
Multi-robot collaboration
DOBOT Atom supports multi-robot collaboration, enabled by its advanced edge computing system that delivers 7.7 times the computing power of the industry standard. Integrated human–robot interaction and safety technologies ensure seamless coordination with other robots or people, optimising efficiency in tasks that require high synchronisation, such as production lines or multi-device service scenarios.
